Evolutionary Imports is a small tuner club in New England (yes, we can have nice cars too!!!), that is dedicated to the automotive enthusiast.  Our members are located all over the North East.  This club is open to everyone who has an interest in imports,  including the sport compact scene.  Sign up today to receive a  "user account"  by clicking on the link to the left and get the full benefit of our site.   One of our members {Brett} has even had his car {1991 VW Corrado G60} in an Import Magazine,.... {December 2003 issue of Hot VW Magazine}.

Our club holds and participates in events throughout the year; autocrosses, rallys, social events (dinners, BBQ's), and technical sessions{garage time}.  We assist each other in working on our respective rides.  Also, we have one of the largest  Car Show photo gallery archives around.  We try to attend most of the shows in the New England area,  taking as many pictures as possible.  Pics can be found in the Photo Gallery.  Keep checking back in our "Forums" and "Members Rides gallery" for  "how-to" articles and other general info about tuning your import.

Thank-x and have a great visit.

Evo Rally 2010 discussion

Well, well, well.....we are almost 2 months into the new year and soon it will be time to start discussions about "Evo Rally 2010"  Some rumors that are floating around about the new rally contain the words, "Canada" and "Time Attack Stage", and possible catching some of the F1 series in Montreal.  Whatever the case may be, dust off those thinking caps and post some ideas in the following forum...

About FC3S RX-7

The FC3S was the second generation in the popular and successful RX-7 series. Running through 1986 - 1992, this RX-7 had a Porsche look, and featured better handling. Though 80kg heavier than its predecessor, the new handling boost more than made up for the increased weight, and the RX-7 continued to win races. The FC was a move towards a more sport-tourer trend car. The series 4 FC produced about 189 bhp, and the series five 200 bhp.

The 2. gen introduced new systems from Mazda, the Dynamic Tracking Suspension System (DTSS) and the Auto Adjusting Suspension (AAS). The Japanese market saw only the turbo engine, The NA version was only produced for export markets, as some insurance companies abroad penalize turbo cars.

In 1991 the RX-7 won the 24 hour Le Mans race, the first japanese manufactured car to ever win. Rotary engines was quickly banned from the race as a consequence.

The RX-7 has won more IMSA races than any other car model.

Like the Nissan S-Chassis, the FC3S is popular for many forms of tuning. Dragging, Grip Racing, Drifting, Gymkhana, the FC3S can be tuned to fit all niches. A big point in tuning the FC is the need for proper cooling. The Mazda Rotary doesn't take too well to heat and can easily blow if cooling goes unchecked. Apex Seals are also a point needing attention when going for big power. The 13B has plenty of power options available, with a variety of brands to choose from and is capable of high power-increases with minimal tuning. There are plenty of RE only tuners that have gained world renowned fame through tuning the FC and FD. The biggest name attached to RE tuning is none other than RE-Amemiya, which has a massive catalog of parts for the FC as well as consistently presenting the world with a great demo cars at the annual Tokyo Auto Salon.
